We're Hiring: Student Sustainability Ambassadors
The UW Sustainability Office is looking to hire up to 7 UW students to be our Sustainability Ambassadors for the 2024-25 academic year. The Sustainability Ambassadors will help the CSO with sustainability related outreach and education, events, and data collection.
If you are passionate about environmental and social justice, are comfortable starting conversations, like public speaking, and are looking for a job on-campus, please apply!

In 2023-2024 the UW Sustainability Office was able to hire 8 Sustainability Ambassadors (SAs) to work with our office to engage students on campus regarding sustainability related topics.
SAs can be found at large campus events including Orientation, Roll Call, Thrive, and tabling in high-traffic areas, such as Riddell Hall.
SAs help educate the campus community on waste education and sustainability initiatives at UW, and they also help to promote our campus sustainability surveys.
Employment:
- Up to 10 hours/week - flexible working schedule
- September-December & January-March
- Classified as Labourer Step 3 as per the AESES Collective Agreement.
