Biography:

Dr. Md Shakhawat Hossain received his M.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Alberta in 2002, followed by a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Windsor in 2008. He then completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2008-2010) with the School of Public Health, at the University of Alberta. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Alabama A & M University, before joining the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Winnipeg in 2011. Dr. Hossain has extensive experience in analyzing Canadian health administrative databases.
