Inquiring Minds: Understanding the call for, roll of and limitations on an inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

This event was organized at the recommendation of the University of Winnipeg's Indigenous Advisory Circle as a means of honouring the families of our stolen sisters and the survivors of violence. Hosted by Diane Roussin, Chair, Indigenous Advisory Circle this event brought together family members, community members, academics and students to draw attention to the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

After the individual presentations there was a panel discussion on: "What does an inquiry mean?" Moderated by Wab Kinew, panelists included: Dr. Leslie Spillet, Dr. Lorena Fontaine, Treaty Commissioner James Wilson, Dr. Nigaanwewidam Sinclair.
