CHARACTER OF THIS CLASSIFICATION LEVEL
This is the entry level of library assistance in which duties performed are highly repetitive and routine, procedures and practices are clearly defined and limited judgement is required. Incumbents are primarily responsible for assisting users in accessing works and collections and maintaining them in an organized manner. Initially, duties are performed under close supervision, however, once trained, duties are performed under general supervision. The supervision of others is not a requirement, however, incumbents may be required to assist in the introductory training of other employees at the same level. |
